The NEW racquetball ladder – 2012
December 6, 2011 in Club News
When you joined the racquetball challenge
, you were given an initial score of 1500. Your value has gone up or down based on your win-loss record and the weighted value of your opponents.
So, beginning in 2012, the format is changing to add a new twist to the ladder. Your value and your opponent’s value will be entered into the calculator on the left side of The Heights’ web site. When you press “calculate”, the points you (or your opponent) will spot for each game will be displayed. The maximum points to be spotted is ten (10). Other minor changes will apply with this new format. Instead of point spread, we will play best 2 out of 3 games to 15. The ladder format will replace the pyramid, allowing challenges up to 5 rungs. If a player has less than 10 games of experience, spotting points is optional, not mandatory. A 2-day waiting period for rematches is required.
One other thing that we will be doing is rearranging the ladder. During the Heights’ Christmas party, we pulled the names of active players out of a hat to seed the ladder for Jan 1, 2012. Starting at the top…Jerry M, Chris M, Chris E, David K, Herman M, Tim V, Greg C, Rich M, Oscar, Jeff B, Michael M, and Tim G. All other players kept their same order.
Good Luck.
